Information technology and communication company Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) announced on Tuesday the election of Vyomesh I. Joshi to its board of directors, effective 1 September 2013.

Joshi, who had retired in 2012 after a 32-year career at Hewlett-Packard Company, was most recently executive vice president of HP's Imaging and Printing Group. He joined HP in 1980 as a research and development engineer and went on to hold management positions of increasing responsibility within the company until his retirement.

Also, currently, Joshi is a director of Wipro Limited and served as a member of the board of directors at Yahoo! Inc from 2005 to 2012.
